RFID Information & News
RFID Tags and Glass Recycling Concerns
The Glass Packaging Institute urges developers of RFID and similar tracking technologies to consider the impact of the tags on glass recycling once the tagged bottle enters the recycling stream. GPI is working with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other federal agencies to insure that the glass recycling stream is not negatively impacted by the emergence of RFID technology.
